The miner was hand carved by master carver Mannie Sanchez circa 1970's. His figures are compared to Frank Polk though only 15 were carved by Sanchez compared to the 92 by Polk.
The miner is considered on of the most rare. A similar figure was owned by Steve Wynn sold at auction for over $30,000
