The rotary dial emits a pulse signal which is only operational on ATT service. Alternate telephone services only recognizes a tone signal as emitted on touch tone telephones.
An adapter is required to convert a pulse signal to a tone signal to enable the telephone to call out. Available for an additional $95.00
